Messy Twist Side Braid

HeyKayli put up a video the other day with a tutorial on a twist braid and I think it is the cutest and easiest hairstyle that looks super cute ever! So here is my take on it. I followed it almost to a T until the end I did a rope braid so it didn't untwist as much and so it would stay all day.

Crazy Fun Weekend

This weekend I had to go out of town to go for work training. And I know it sounds really boring and just no fun at all. But my weekend was for sure far from that. I got to shop and try on as many clothes as possible and on top of it I got to hang out with the most amazing girls ever.

We had only met once before this weekend and I actually love everyone that I work with now. There are just a few stories from this weekend that just show how amazing these girls are.

I think the best one is during dinner, it's more like a bunch of little things but it was probably the best dinner ever. So we may have been super tired because we had been up since 8:30. So we had a pretty good looking waiter. And we were joking about that, but almost every time he would come over to talk to us one of the girls would make a funny face at me and I would laugh and I'm pretty sure he thought that I was crazy. I think the worst one was when he came over to put my food down and she made a face at me and I just bursted out laughing and I think at that point he thought I was crazy. Also one of the girls yelled her order at him. She was like "I WANT THIS!" as she pointed at it on the menu. OMG!! his face was just so funny when she did that. Then basically the rest of the night I was laughing when he was around. 

Now I have to tell you about one of the girls that I work with. (The one that was making me laugh a lot) Her name is Rachel and she can actually make you laugh too!!! She has a youtube channel so you should definitely check it out!! 

And we got a little bored when we got back to the hotel so we made a video of pranks. I will post that once she edits it.

The weekend wasn't just laughs and having fun. We also got to shop!!! (like I said in the beginning). I got some really cute clothes/outfits. So watch for those in my OOTD in the next few weeks because all of the clothes I bought are from the newer line. 

I just want to say I'm sorry that this blog is a little long and not that greatly ordered but that is exactly how my weekend was, just super fun and crazy.

Do you just decide to do your makeup without knowing exactly what it's going to look like?

Review: Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup

I purchased this foundation in my Clinique Bonus Haul. And I have finally gotten to a light enough shade to try this foundation out and it not look like a mask on my face. 

You can watch the video for application and what it looks like on the skin.

This foundation is not enough coverage for myself, this foundation is a sheer-moderate coverage. I personally like a moderate-full coverage foundation. I did have to put on a bit more concelar than I normally do. 

Although this foundation was not the coverage that I like, I did really like the staying power of this foundation. Just keep in mind I did use my Urban Decay Setting Spray after I applied my foundation. If you haven't seen my review on the setting spray you may want to check it out before you continue reading. 

Right After I applied it

The foundation barely moved and around my nose is still basically perfect. My forehead is not shiny at all besides where I put my illuminator.

My foundation is still pretty much flawless, except for my cheeks and nose that was a little red from walking to my car after school.

By the end of the day my foundation still looked super good. Again, like how it was after school my nose and cheeks were showing red through the foundation. But it still looked like I had just put it on.
Besides this foundation not having the coverage that I like, I can just add a little bit more powder and concelar and my makeup will look amazing. I think the combination of the urban decay setting spray and this Clinique foundation is amazing! It last all day and I really didn't have to blot at all.

Prep and Prime Skin Base: this primer is suppose to help with excess oil and even any redness that you might have.

Mineralized Skin Finish in Medium Plus: A medium toned powder with a goldened undertone. This powder gives a really nice satin finish to the skin and it's super light weight as well.

Eyeshadow Palette in Creative Copper: 6 super versitlie colours for everyday and you can go into night with.
