Fast Working Little Hands

I thought I would share what happened the other night just because it was so inspiring to see.

The other night we took our spark and brownie group to a local food bank. We do this every year and it always seems to amaze me on how amazing these girls are. What happens is we show up and we don't know what we are going to be helping out with. So we get a little explanation on what the food bank does and who they give to, we get a little tour. And their favourite part of the whole tour is walking through the walk through fridge. Then after the tour we find out what we are going to be helping out with.

We usually get potatoes which is just packing potatoes in smaller boxes so they can be sent out to families. This year was no different from any other we got potatoes. This year was a little different though. There was a bag of carrots so they also got to put carrots in crates.

The best part about going is the girls have so much fun. They usually don't want to leave because they are having so much fun. They don't complain about wanting water or being tired. This year when we told them that they had to finish up the boxes they were on they were so sad and they were trying to sneak more boxes.

Because these girls are so amazing they packed. About 6,000 pounds of potatoes and 1,400 pounds of carrots.
